The Lake Washington High School Marching Kangs are making a triumphant return to the football field after 40 years, proudly wearing the stunning vintage capes from the 1980-1981 band!
As our community and band have grown we’re excited to announce that we’ll need more capes by 2027!
To celebrate this historic comeback and lay a strong foundation for the future, the LWHS Band+Jazz Boosters launched the fantastic Bring Back the Beat capital campaign to support new marching instruments, field equipment, marching program support -- and new uniforms!
BBB: Capes for Kangs is all about raising funds for vibrant, inclusive uniforms that all our talented students can wear with pride, including a stylish jacket cape, at just around $400 each!
Let's bring back the marching band that has been a Kirkland community tradition since 1945. Help us by being a hero who helps every Marching Kangs wear a cape!
